LeoWorks (“we” or “the Company”) complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws, and publishes this Privacy Policy to protect your personal information. This Policy applies to the mobile application WoofMeow Log (“the Service”; Korean name 멍냥로그). WoofMeow Log can be used anonymously without creating an account, and most information, such as location, photos and account linking, is collected only when you enter it yourself or give your consent. The Service is provided as an Android and iOS app in the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, and this Policy applies in the same way wherever you use it.
1. Personal information we collect
a. Information generated or collected automatically
Anonymous user identifier: an anonymous value (UUID) generated automatically when the app first runs. It does not include your name, phone number or email address.
Service usage records (event log): feature usage statistics (app launch, saving an entry, opening the map or editor, sharing a card, generating an AI character, and so on) and the time they occurred. This is aggregate data that contains nothing that identifies you.
Push notification token: only if you allow notifications, the push token issued per device for delivering notifications. It contains no identifying information such as your name or phone number, and it is no longer collected or used once you turn off notification permission in your device settings. We store the app display language (Korean, English or Japanese) with the token and use it only to decide which language to send notifications in.
Service analytics information: information collected automatically through Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) for usage statistics — the same app usage events as the event log above, app launch and session information, device and OS type, app version, install source (campaign information), advertising ID (Google Advertising ID or iOS IDFA, subject to your settings) and app instance ID. It is linked to the anonymous user identifier and does not include information that directly identifies you, such as your name, phone number or email address.
Advertising information: information collected automatically by Google LLC while serving ads (Google AdMob) — advertising ID, device, OS and app information, approximate region estimated from the IP address, and ad interactions such as impressions and clicks. Locations you attach to entries (latitude, longitude, place name) are not passed to advertising.
b. Information you enter or upload (optional)
Pet profile: name, species (dog or cat), breed, birthday, personality tags, profile photo
Activity and health entries: entry type (walk, meal, treat, bath, play, medication, vet visit, vaccination, deworming, weight, symptom, and so on), photos, notes, mood, weight, medication and vaccination schedules and reminder settings
Family comments: comments (up to 300 characters) that family members leave on an entry. They are visible only to family members linked to that pet and are deleted together with the entry or the account.
Location information: the latitude, longitude and place name of a location you attach to an entry (only when you run “Add location”). The place name is stored down to the street and place level when you use the Service in Korea in Korean; otherwise only the city or district level is stored.
Payment information: for in-app purchases, the product identifier and the purchase verification token (receipt, Android) or transaction identifier (iOS). Payment method details such as card numbers are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store and are not stored by us.
c. Information collected when you link an account (optional)
Google account email: collected only if you choose to link a Google account for data backup, to identify the link.
Apple account identifier and email (iOS): collected only if you choose “Sign in with Apple” on iOS, to identify the link — your Apple user identifier and email address (if you choose “Hide My Email”, the relay address issued by Apple), and your name if Apple provides it. Apple authentication tokens are not stored on our servers.
d. Device permissions (optional — you can refuse)
Permission
Purpose
If refused

All permissions are optional. Refusing a permission does not limit your use of the Service beyond that feature.
2. Purposes of collection and use
Providing core features such as pet entries, the timeline and the memory map
Health schedule reminders such as medication and vaccination (local notifications on the device) and push notifications such as family activity updates (if you allow notifications)
Generating content such as weekly highlight cards and AI characters
Verifying in-app purchases (decoration items) and preventing fraud
(When an account is linked) backing up data and restoring it when you change devices
Anonymous usage analytics to improve service quality — usage by feature, retention, sessions and install source (campaign) measurement, including Firebase Analytics
Serving ads so the Service can be offered free of charge, measuring ad performance and preventing invalid clicks (Google AdMob)
We do not use personal information beyond these purposes. If a purpose changes, we obtain your consent in advance.

Data is sent for AI character generation, Google or Apple account linking and nearby place search only when you use that feature, and for push notifications only when you allow notifications. Information sent for AI generation is limited to the items above; the pet's name, location and health entries are not sent. Service analytics (Firebase Analytics) and advertising (Google AdMob) information is sent automatically while you use the app.
4. International transfer of personal information
Some of the processors above may operate servers outside your country, so personal information may be transferred to and stored in other countries while you use the Service.
Recipients: Supabase Inc., Google LLC, Apple Inc. (and the processors above)
Countries: the countries where the processors' cloud infrastructure is located (such as the United States)
Time and method: transmitted over the network (HTTPS encryption) when you use the Service
Items, purposes and retention: the same as the processing described in Section 3
You may refuse international transfer, but some features (storage, sync, AI generation and so on) may then be unavailable.
5. Retention period and deletion
We delete personal information without delay once the purpose of collection and use is achieved or you request deletion.
When you delete a pet or an entry in the app, the linked photos, entries, health schedules, weight records and AI-generated content are deleted with it.
Where applicable law requires retention, we keep the information for that period.
Records of payments and purchases under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (Republic of Korea): 5 years
Deletion method: electronic files are permanently deleted in a way that prevents recovery or reproduction.
6. Children under 14
We do not collect personal information from children under 14, and the Service is intended for users aged 14 and over (or the higher minimum age required in your country). If we learn that a user is under that age, we delete the information without delay.
7. Your rights and how to exercise them
Access and correction: view and edit directly in the app
Deletion: delete a pet or an entry in the app, or delete your account and all data yourself via Settings → Delete account (deletion guide, Korean). If you cannot use the app, contact us at the address below. If you linked Sign in with Apple, the Apple link (authentication token) is also revoked when you delete your account
Restriction of processing and withdrawal of consent: turn off the permission in your device settings, or contact us
You can exercise these rights by emailing the privacy officer below, and we act on requests without delay. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; you can exercise them through the same contact.
8. Security measures
Access control (row-level security, RLS): at the database level, each user can access only their own data
Encryption in transit: all communication is encrypted with HTTPS
Restricted storage access: uploaded photos are kept in private storage and accessed only through time-limited signed URLs
Secrets kept server-side: secret keys for external integrations such as AI and payments are kept only on the server (Edge Function) and are not included in the app
Protection of credentials: session tokens are kept in app-private storage and protected by the operating system's app sandbox so other apps cannot access them
9. Automatic collection tools and advertising
We use the Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics) SDK from Google LLC for usage statistics. It collects the advertising ID together with app usage events, session information and device information, and the collected information is used for usage and retention analysis in a form that does not directly identify you. Usage statistics are also collected separately as an anonymous event log stored on our server.
We show Google AdMob (Google LLC) ads on the home and memories screens so the Service can be offered free of charge. Google uses the advertising ID for ad serving, frequency capping, invalid click prevention and ad performance measurement, and may use it for personalized ads depending on your device settings. See Google's advertising technologies policy and Google's Privacy Policy for details.
On iOS, a notice about the advertising identifier (Google UMP) followed by the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt appears before the app shows ads for the first time. Unless you choose “Allow”, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not collected and only non-personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
You can limit personalized ads and advertising-ID-based collection in your device settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads, or Settings > Privacy > Ads / iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising) by opting out of ads personalization or deleting the advertising ID. Non-personalized ads may still be shown, and core features of the Service are not affected.
If new features change the items we collect, we amend this Policy and give notice in advance through the app or this page.
